The prescription fee is charged for every medicine on a health insurance prescription. People with a low net income can be exempted on application. A higher income limit applies to chronically ill people with increased expenses.
There is also the prescription fee cap: once you have paid prescription fees amounting to 2% of your annual net income in a calendar year, you are automatically exempt for the rest of the year.
