It is often also worth looking at subsidies, such as the federal states' heating cost subsidies, or at exemption from certain charges for people on a low income.

The documents you need
Please bring the following documents, if you have them. If something is missing, we will find a solution together.
- Latest annual bill for electricity and/or gas
- Metering point number (Zählpunktnummer, shown on the bill)
- Current meter reading
- Bank details (IBAN)

Do I have to cancel my old contract myself?
